Nick Cannon has chosen to disregard his rap abilities. On Tuesday, the TV presenter paid a visit to Power 106 and, naturally, performed an L.A. Leakers freestyle.

Cannon tackled themes including parenting and his professional career while performing the instrumentals for EARTHGANG’s “Power” and UGK’s “Int’l Players Anthem.”

The 41-year-old rapped, “They gotta be like ‘that ni**a ain’t snappin’/ Cannon give up on that rappin’/ That’ll never hit platinum.”

The actor’s official return to music with the release of The Explicit Tape: Raw And B in May coincides with the freestyle. The project’s 14 songs include appearances by K. Michelle, Chris Brown, Brandy, Jacques, and others.

The self-titled debut album of Nick Cannon, which was released in 2003, peaked at no. 83 on the Billboard 200 chart. His biggest song to date in his career, “Gigilo,” featured disgraced musician R. Kelly.
