The hip-hop duo Kris Kross was founded by Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly and Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith. Christopher Smith and James Christopher Kelly, both first-graders who were born in Atlanta, Georgia, on January 10, 1979, and August 11, 1978, respectively, and who both went away on May 1, 2013, formed a close bond. The first time Jermaine Dupri saw them was in 1991 in Atlanta’s Greenbriar Mall when he was 19 years old.

Kris Kross is currently no more and cannot locate them, however, at a concert honoring So So Def’s 20th anniversary was held at the Fox Theatre in 2013, and Kris Kross had his final performance there.

On April 29, 2013, Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly was discovered unconscious at his Atlanta home and sent to the hospital.

On May 1, 2013, at about 5 p.m., he was declared dead on the south campus of the Atlanta Medical Center. On July 1, 2013, Chris Kelly was discovered dead, according to a toxicological analysis.

According to the findings of the toxicological test, Chris had a number of drugs in his system, including heroin and cocaine, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner Office.
