Anastasia Rubińska Murder And Rape Case
On the idyllic Greek island of Kos, a horrifying crime has sent shockwaves worldwide.
The strangled remains of 27-year-old Polish hotel worker Anastasia Rubińska have been discovered following a week-long search by the Greek police.
The case, surrounded by distressing allegations of rape and murder, has shrouded Greece in deep sorrow and regret. Anastasia Rubińska was a native of Wrocław, Poland.
Known for her trusting nature and kind-hearted spirit, she recently worked at a five-star hotel in the tourist town of Marmaris on Kos. She worked alongside her Polish boyfriend, building a life together away from home.
Her father, Andrzej Rubiński, poignantly described his daughter’s trusting nature to the Polish newspaper Onet, stating, “She thought everyone was friendly… She was a good girl, albeit reckless.”
The grieving father now faces the nightmare of his daughter’s death in a foreign land. Anastasia Rubińska was last seen alive on Monday, June 12, at a local café.
After her disappearance, the subsequent week-long search concluded with the discovery of her half-naked body, found barely 0.5 miles from the home of a 32-year-old man from Bangladesh.
Salahuddin S. was arrested, and Anastasia’s mobile phone was discovered 500 meters from his residence.

The tragedy surrounding Anastasia’s death is further compounded by the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. Before vanishing, she met a group of men from Bangladesh and Pakistan.
She sent a location to her boyfriend, asking him to pick her up, but by the time he arrived, she was nowhere to be found.
The man from Bangladesh, Salahuddin S., was arrested for attempted kidnapping and murder.
Salahuddin S., who bore scratch marks on his arms and face at the time of his arrest, is believed to have arrived in Greece as an illegal immigrant a few years prior.
Upon searching his apartment, police found traces of Anastasia’s DNA, a bloodied blouse, strands of her blonde hair, and a plane ticket to Italy purchased the day after her disappearance.
Despite the mounting evidence, Salahuddin S. continues to deny all charges. The tragic discovery of Anastasia’s body has prompted a strong response from Poland.
Prime Minister Mateus Morawiecki expressed his shock and called for Salahuddin S. to be deported to Poland for a severe penalty.
Anastasia’s brother, Adrian Rubinski, has voiced his desire to personally confront the man accused of killing his sister, promising that “justice will be done.”
Anastasia’s brutal murder has rocked the tiny island of Kos and drawn the international spotlight to Greece. As the Greek authorities continue their investigation, Poland has launched its investigation into the case.
As the world watches, the hope remains that justice will be served for Anastasia Rubińska and her family can find some semblance of peace in this horrific ordeal.
